I started surfing in Sri Lanka because, well, the waves were too perfect not to. Once I caught the bug, I couldn’t stand not being in the water during the off season. So, I made a surfboard out of local materials. Not perfect, but no child is!
I left it in Sri Lanka when I moved. It’s still around. See if you can find it somewhere!

How heavy was the finished product?
What kind of wood are you using here? Planning a similar build myself.
how did you go about breaking the board apart for chambering? I see an iron but I’m not sure what you used it for. Thanks!
